Jobs that come up a lot

A toilet that keeps running can easily waste 200 litres of water a day. It’s usually the float or the rubber seal in the cistern, a part that costs a few euros.

A new mixer tap in the kitchen, an outside tap for the garden, plumbing in the washing machine in the attic: all of them a morning’s work.

When Peter refers you on

For a burst pipe under the floor, a boiler showing a fault or anything to do with gas, Peter calls an installer he trusts. He passes on what’s going on, so you don’t have to go looking yourself.

Questions about plumbing

Can I choose the tap myself?

Yes. Do watch the connection, because not every new tap fits an old worktop straight away. Send a photo of what’s there now and Peter will take a look.

Do you work on gas?

No. Gas pipes and the boiler Peter leaves to a registered installer.

Kitchen tap replaced, neatly done. It did take a week and a half before he could come.
