Indoors

A living room of four by six metres, walls and ceiling, takes two days. Peter uses water-based paint that hardly smells, so you can sit in your own living room in the evening.

Rot in a windowsill or frame he routs out first. He fills the hole with two-part filler, and only then does the paint go on.

Outdoors

A front door, the garden shed or the ground floor window frames Peter does himself. For a whole façade that needs scaffolding, he’ll refer you to a local painting company.

Questions about painting

Do I have to empty the room myself?

It helps if small things are already out of the way. Peter moves the big furniture to the middle with you, then covers everything up.

Which paint do you use?

For walls a water-based emulsion, for woodwork a water-based gloss that doesn’t turn yellow. If you have a colour in mind, just pass on the colour code.

The living room ceiling looks lovely. It took a day longer because the old paint was flaking more than expected, but the price stayed the same.
