Peter, the Delft handyman
For twelve years Peter has done the jobs other tradespeople think are too small. Door sticking? Tile loose? Light not working? Peter comes out.
Since 2014
Peter Willemsen (46) grew up in Tanthof and worked as a carpenter for a builder in Rijswijk for fifteen years. New builds, lots of concrete, not much chat. In 2014 he went out on his own, because the neighbours kept ringing the bell about a sticking door or a light that still needed hanging.
Other tradespeople think those jobs are too small. Peter doesn’t. He’ll come out for one loose tile, tells you the price up front and doesn’t charge by the hour. Anyone who has had him round once usually has a list ready for next time.
His wife Anouk does the planning and the paperwork from the kitchen table. She answers the email, Saturdays included. A sticking door doesn’t care about opening hours, as Peter always says.
